WTT: Mesa Mark Rackmount for Mesa Headshell

Testing the waters... :P Really don't want to pay Mesa $350... :| I have: :: Mesa rackmount kit. Currently houses my Mark III, but will fit any Mark series short head through the Mark IV. Includes OEM reverb tank, does not include fan. :: SKB 4 space rack. The flagship SKB line, full...

    Acoustical foam/padding in guitar cabs...

...do you use any? Why or why not? If you've installed or removed any (so that you have an experience of the same cab with and without it), what differences did you notice?

Rewiring a Mark III's outside sockets from triode to pentode

A few questions, for the experts: :) 1) Is it easy? I'm fairly handy with a soldering iron - I've done plenty of work on my guitars over the years, and I installed a filter choke in my old Yamaha T-100 - but I'm not an amp tech. Is this something I can probably do without frying the amp or...

    NCD! (Pine and Weber content!)

So, this is kind of a newer development for me: from the time I first started buying serious guitar gear until now, all my amp choices have been fairly metal-approved; even if I didn't happen to be playing heavy music on them at the moment, it was always gear where I could if I wanted to...

What size knob posts do Mark IIIs use?

I imagine it's probably the same for Mark I and IIs, but you never know. I'm looking at cool replacement knobs to snazz up my trusty Mark III. (Yes, I know I could just pop one off and look, but...I'm not home right now.) Thanks!

The pull function on a Mark III's Bass knob...

...what exactly does it do? The manual doesn't say, which is odd, because all the other pull knob functions are explained. I've owned two Mark IIIs and put in thousands of hours on them, and all I know for sure is that I prefer it pushed in.

    Marks + G12-T75s = ???

Anybody have much experience with this pairing? I'm looking at getting a 4x12 cab to go with my Mark III, and of course the market is flush with Marshall 1960 cabs both old and new. Experiences and opinions welcomed!

Mark II and III players, a footswitch question, please...

I currently play a Mark III, and I have and use the original footswitches. The footswitch that controls Rhythm/Lead switching has an LED, and it's labeled "RED = LEAD," but the LED is in fact lit when Rhythm channel is engaged, off when Lead is engaged. It just sits there, lying to me. I mean...

Just racked my Mark III! (Pics! Doilies!)

So, I’d been toying recently with the idea of downsizing my Mark III combo to a head, because while I love the amp, I loved neither the combo’s approximately 70 pound weight, nor its Celestion Modern Lead 70 speaker. (Seriously, the EV in my Mesa extension cab knocked the Celestion’s dick into...

WTT: Mesa Mark combo cab for head shell

So, I want to move my Mark III into a head shell in order to give me more gig-able options, I'm not keen on sending Mesa $350 to make me one, and I'm tired of scoping the used markets. So here's my long shot: I will trade you my Mesa Mark series combo shell, WITH SPEAKER, for a Mark series head...

Mark series experts, help a brother out?

Hi, my name is Ben. I'm a longtime Mesa/Boogie devotee, but new to the forum. (Hi, Ben.) So I'm looking at my recently-acquired Mark III combo, and the speaker in the back is a... ...Celestion Modern Lead 70. Leaving aside for a moment whether it's a good speaker or not (IMO it's all right...
