Why not the TA-15? 5 Watts is great for low volumes and you can use it with a 1x12 or even a 1x10 cab which is very small and portable. You'll have a setup that will do fine for gigs and as well.

Interesting! Please tell us the settings and what cab and speakers you were using. I'm yet to try it with greenbacks and that might be the key. I think Top Boost at 25W gives a good vintage vibe, but I can't compare it A/B to a Plexi though.

I use the Catalinbread Montavilian. Wonderfull lush pedal. Just up front of my TA-15 top boost mode. Wonderfull!

It all depends how much delay and how much OD you use. And it is also a big taste question. The more OD you use the more sensitive your delay mix is. So you will have to turn it down to get the same amount of wet signal. For full on high gain with lot's of delay the delayed signal is amplified A...

I find the bottom end a bit loose with single coils when playing with some gain. Cleans are great. Generally I prefer this amp with my Les Paul that has PAF style humbuckers.

By the way: One 8 Ohm cab into each output is not OK. It's like plugging in an 5,33 Ohm cab into the 8 Ohm output. Good you didn't like it.

Yep, I used my TA15 miked for an open air gig. Love that amp! I'm just looking for a good cab (which is hard here in Ecuador as the shops won't sell you a cab without the amp head!!)

Hi everybody! I'm lusting after a Transatlantic 15 and wondered what speakers you have tried it with and which ones you all like best. I think I saw someone liking Alnico blues which makes sense with the whole Vox thing. Also what is your favorite cab size for this amp? 1x12 2x12...?
