    Mesa Boogie Studio 22

Laurent your amp looks beautiful. I've had 2 Studio.22+ amps since 1993. Built like tanks, they've been gigged literally 100's of time, no issues. Incredibly versatile, they have some of the best cleans I've ever heard, and that's saying a lot since I'm a vintage Fender fanatic.

Lone Star Reeder Mod #1: Channel 2 Pot-Swap

Clapton sounds great on the clip u referenced. then again he pretty much always sounds great. i play humbuckers thru LSS so my sounds lean in a different direction than single coils thru LSC, but i got the reeder mod done and like it. i just consider the channel1 sound more to my taste so it...

    Quad Preamp Volume question?

perhaps it's just so clean lds can keep up with distorted ones to me distorted sounds tend to give an impression of being louder than a comparable clean sound

    princeton ri farts

after some investigation, i realize my prri is NOT suffering from cab rattle like i initially thought- it is bass farts like others have described! when i set v5 b5 t5 it is mostly clean (a very moderate setting to be sure), but if i play 2-3 low notes together it makes a 'blapping' sound. the...

    bad tubes in LSS....

Mine is new, though I'm not sure how long it sat in the store. I guess I could call Mesa and ask what year it is, and if it is the new model with the fixed problem. When did they have this issue? Do you knnow if you can do a product date search with the serial number from their web site...

    LSS for Jazz

my opinions keep changing, but this is what i've been digging as of right now: 5watt setting "o'clock" #'s: G-12 T-10.5 M-9 B-11.5 P-1.5 M-10 Output-2 i read somewhere here that keeping the channel masters lower and turning up output cleaned up the low end. the writer's idea was that...

Mesa LSS and Fender PRRI comparison (video)

where did u insert the shim? did u take the front off the prri to insert the shim? thanks! I cut pieces of the wood shim used in carpentry, then wedged them between top of baffle board and the metal chassis above it. It's not perfect but fine for my home use. I think part of the buzz is/was...

Mesa LSS and Fender PRRI comparison (video)

I fixed the rattle via wedging wooden shim between the chassis and baffle board and re-seating the speaker. The PRRI is nice - like much there's individual taste but I think it is a wonderful sounding clean amp and my PRS Hollow Body sounds better with it than any amp I've tried. I did more...
