a footswitch makes a connection to engage the modern/deep/halfdrive...can you use a TS or TRS plug somehow hard-wired "shut" to just plug in back there to keep the modes always engaged? Thinking like a cut off plug of a guitar cable with the leads just wired together? I'm not an electronics guy...

I was breaking in some new speakers at the rehearsal space, running a studio pre through a 20/20 in stereo. I play a lot of metal and palm muted drop D, and when I would hit the open D palm mute and let the bass resonance ring, I would get a crackle come out of the speakers. Did this for a while...

i just picked up a "recto" 4x12 from a guy. the jack is recto (mono8/stereo4/paralellouts), V30s like a recto, but i just checked the dimensions when i got home and it's 29"Hx14.5"Dx29.5"W. this doesn't match the recto dimensions on the website, and it doesn't even match the stiletto dimensions...

Hi/Low power on my old stereo 50/50 kicks it down from 50 watts per side to 15 watts per. When you hit the spongy switch on a dual rec, does it actually reduce the watts, like on the multi-watt heads, or does it do something else? I'm curious to know what exactly "spongy" does inside, and can't...
