Can a slave output be used input straight into a recording interface? and would this mute the speaker output? I am looking to do some silent recording straight from my rectoverb's pre amp and the manual is not so informitive regarding the slave out.

When i took one of my new 6l6 tubes out of its packaging it sounded as if something very small was loose inside when moving it around, however i still fitted it and it lights up and sounds great. Is there anything to worry about there? or is this normal?
