Unfortunately, this is another example completely incorrect information being propagated on the Boogie Board! The ferrite bead effects frequencies beyond human hearing, and block the introduction of high frequency radio waves. 300k to 5Mhz

    Who's the new C+ guru?

Tien is no longer a MESA employee...and hasn't been posting on the board for nearly a decade. But yes, you are correct in your personal experience that Mike B is not Boogie Babies! Again, I've tried to get Mike B to get on here and clear up a lot of the misinformation that has now seemingly...

JP2C not what I expected - tube issue?

Actually, we spent over 2 years with John's personal 100w IIC+ here at the shop, going through every aspect - testing every component, to faithfully re-create HIS amp. It has nothing to do with a Mark V.

Mark III reverb, can it be improved?

Are you using the footswitch to switch to the higher reverb setting? Its not an on/off - but rather a high/low.

    Who's the new C+ guru?

Boogie Babies is NOT Mike B. I've asked Mike B to try to clear up some of the mis-information posted here - but he felt the task was simply to large to tackle.

    Solo 50 blew

Sounds like its simply a bad power tube, the fuse blew doing its job as a protection device. Most likely you just need to replace the pair of power tubes and fuse.

    I love this blue channel.

FWIW, this is done at the shop before final play-test and boxing!

The forgotten and unsupported pure MK II C

Again, your threads are filled with so much misinformation its almost comical. Your opinions are fine, however you're certainly not lending any credible information.

    Thoughts on the Mesa "Boogie"

Mike B is NOT Boogiebabies! I've shown him quite a few threads to respond to, but there is simply too much misinformation on the forum to address that he doesn't even know where to begin.

A Twin? Where are you getting your information from???

Mark V Clean Channel Cutting Out - Help!

Have you tried exercising the rotary switch on the back of the amp? Sounds like it may be oxidized and needs cleaning. Sounds strange, but I've seen it a few times now and is something easily over-looked.

    TC-50 Guidance

In final play-test we test the amp with all accessories, just as you receive it. That means the footswitch, reverb tank, and in a combo amp - the speaker. In initial play-test we simply use a bench foot controller, bench reverb tank, and same cab for every amp - but in final we test with...

CH1 cannot be toggled when footswitch is connected

That is completely normal operation. Thanks

    Finally happy with my V

Interesting, as the SPAX7 is exactly the same tube as our 12AX7 - it simply tests for slightly lower background noise and has the wrap to help prevent microphonics.

Mesa Boogie TA15 Metal Cover clean up

Unfortunately, if its got fingerprints and tarnish its probably the result of a previous owner trying to shine it up. The ornaments were clear-coated, and if cleaned with a solvent-based cleaner will eat the clear-coat, and lead to the situation you describe.

Mark V: No Front Lights, No Fan, Just a Hum from the Speaker

Yes, absolutely - hence the Authorized Boogie username!

Mark V: No Front Lights, No Fan, Just a Hum from the Speaker

You should connect with the MESA distributor in your country for assistance. https://www.mesaboogie.com/support/index.html

Mark V: No Front Lights, No Fan, Just a Hum from the Speaker

The diodes in the LV power supply need to be addressed. This should be done by an Authorized MESA Repair Station.

As I posted previously, it is indeed an early Boogie
