Ok just that if I bought it I would be shipping it overseas to a friend afterwards and then to in a year find it needed a recap ..... which basically all old amps need it would be expensive to ship it back to Mesa... better to get it done now and know it's done. Maybe he just thought it sounded...

Why doesn't the switch on the front panel say class a/simul class. Half power is what the 60/100 watt amps said.? I see the simul class stick on the back. Purple stripe is meant to be low gain version of the original could you comment on what this sounds like and how much gain you can get out...
