What have you been doing lately?

Long time no log in, but been busy working and watching after family members and jamming out when I could.

Want Pre500 tone? Here's how to get it!

Haven't been around in a bit but here's a condensed version of everything: I went headfirst into this and removed most of these parts instead of jumping them which has the same effect. install a jumper over R277 install a jumper over R272, change the cap at C55 from .10uf to .0047uf. (the...

Want Pre500 tone? Here's how to get it!

Good to hear that the mods worked out for you, crazy how small changes affect the tone so much!

Want Pre500 tone? Here's how to get it!

Been a while since I've been around but glad you found what you were looking for in the mod! Personally I'd leave that resistor/cap (2.2M/82pf) in place as clipping them will cause the amp to not pass signal in some modes. You could put a 5M5 resistor in parallel with the 680k resistor. This...

Mesa rev c in SLO clone

This definitely has my interest, would be the best of both worlds!

    Factory Pre 500 Mods

I didn't send my 2 ch triple to Mesa as I reverted it to Rev C specs myself, but I also can say there was a noticeable difference in the amp afterwards, tighter, brighter, more aggressive and growl-y mids.

Mesa Roadster problem, 100w doesn't work properly anymore, 50w works

Hmm, it could be a pair of power tubes are on the way out, do you have spares that you can swap in to test?

MEGA amp comparison featuring a Dual Recto & Mini Recto

That's one of the biggest and best amp comparisons I've ever seen! Major kudos to you for that and digging your YT channel as well, got one of the best recto demos as well!

Road King ii v2 vs TC-100

I'd think the reborn dual/triples would be slightly tighter than the RK, less going on in the circuit. I've heard good clips of the TC-100 but it's thinner and tighter than the rectos, haven't played it in person yet. Scope it out and see if it scratches that recto itch.

Odd popping and sounds through triple rectifier

I'd trouble shoot the tubes in the cathode follower positions to see if it clears up. Also how old are the power tubes? You could also clean all the jacks, pots and tube sockets if the issue persists.

DR Solo Head REV F. Series Effects loop issue.

The LDR's for the loop might have went bad, might be worth checking out.

    Weird Problem, NEED HELP!

Is this a 2-ch recto, or 3? They affect each other on the 2-ch heads, haven't played on a 3-ch in almost a decade.
