    LSC for home use

I have the 50/100w version and that's pretty good for home use as well. Especially in Tweed power. The Tone of the amp on channel 2 is very very dark. Even with brighter sounding pickups the tone is very rich, fat and dark. Definitely might wanna test it before you buy it before committing...

    Andy Timmons clinic

Just curious if he changed his settings because of El34s. He changes his settings around too since that video, he did an interview on the Mesa site and it was definitely different from infamous youtube/mesa boogie video.

    Lonestar: Is it for me?

You put a V30 in the 1x12 ope Back cab? How does it sound? Are you able to use the 100-watt setting or do you have to tweed mode/50watt setting it?

    Lonestar Special vs. Express 5:50

I owned and gigged with the 5:50 as my main amp for a year. It has more in similarity with the LSC, as opposed to the LSS. Very Fendery clean channel, with TONS of headroom. Blues/Burn mode on channel 2 are similar to the Mark Series style of distortiom (Low mids, cutting highs). I evntually...

    Suhr Riot

It sounds pretty good. I've used through alot of different, fender-style amps. I use mainly a les paul with '57s The pedal has 3 way toggle switch, Germanium, Hot-Rodded Marshall, and Scooped Marshall. I use mainly the hot-rodded marsall tone. The voicing of the pedal is really bass heavy...

    Suhr Riot

I recently acquired a riot a couple weeks ago and I use it with a Lonestar Classic. What questions do you have?

    LS just for country/blues?

Stilletto is cool, but very bright. It's named that for a reason, the highs are very very cutting and the V30s it's usually paired with cut as well. I'm sure it sounds good in the mix of a band situation but just be prepared to basically have the presence and treble nearly off to get something...

Getting High Gain out of Lone Star

If you can find one. I'd have an easier time finding a leprechaun riding a unicorn than finding a Suhr Riot in stock anywhere.

Getting High Gain out of Lone Star

hitting the front end with an overdrive pedal helps. On the pedal turn down the gain, turn up the volume. Turns the LSC into a mid-high gain wrecking machine. I use either an RC booster or BB preamp.

    Lone Star Classic

great deal. Snag it, if you don't like it you can easily turn it around for the same price or even more. I usually see these around $1000 street.

How can I make a LSC Channel 2 Cut through the mix more?

Here's a live clip of the LSC in use. I'm on the far left with the les paul http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0EEMjmRVDOo You'll notice that when I'm i the clean channel, not a problem. There's three guitar players in this clip, I'm playing the 'low' parts in this song, and everytime I switch to...

How can I make a LSC Channel 2 Cut through the mix more?

I'll definitely try both suggestions. With the voicing toggle it apparently lowers the treble frequency that the treble knob controls. So in theory, if I have it in the "Thick" mode, cranking the treble knob is actually boosting more of the 'midrange'/'upper-mids' ? I have an ac, a bb and a rc...

How can I make a LSC Channel 2 Cut through the mix more?

Hey guys. Recently aquired a Mesa Boogie LSC V.1 and it's been a great amp. Lush gorgeous cleans, that really live up to the hype. Alot of headroom, flexibility etc. I actually find that channel 2 (with drive) engaged is a very great sounding channel. A fat warm tone reminiscient of the Mark I...
