I have an f100 combo and the clean channel is as different as night and day to the dirty channel. I don't think and eq in the loop could compensate. The eq characteristics are so different for each channel. I have a tonelab running into the front of the amp right now, I use the clean channel...

That's interesting.... So....let me get this straight. If I plug a patch cord into the send and leave the other end free....then I can plug the output from say....a tone lab se into the return and then be using only the power amp section?

If it sounds good....then what the hell!!haha. Something else I thought of....I wonder what it would do sound wise if you did the effects loop jumper volume control thing with your set up.That'd be a frankenstein SOB there! I did it on my amp and got quite a bit more tonal range than normally...

Ok...so a question that occurred to me was....Could the foot switch cause the reverb not to work...even if it is not plugged in, by way of turrning the reverb off and then unplugging the foot switch? Hi, I took the tank out and looked it over, it looks ok...checked the connections and they seem fine. I took the foot pedal out of the mix to eliminate that. I tried plugging in the rca jacks in backwards than what they were and I started picking up a radio station! Reverb still not working...

like he said....turn the bass down...way down to almost nothing. Turn your treble and mid to about the three o clock postion and see if thats any better. The Bass control on the gain channel, like many here have stated before, is an anti flubb control.

I have been having the same issue with mine too. I don't remember it doing that when I bought it...I bought it used by the way. Seems like I started noticing it when I changed a pre amp tube...v1 I think. I had taken it out of a vox tonelab. The tone lab started acting up too....and the reverb...

Hey thanks for the info....I haven't been on here in a while, sorry for the late response. How does a reverb tank go bad by the way? I do recall moving it a few weeks before it stopped working. I don't recall anything out of the ordinary happening though.

Does anybody else here have one? The tone controls, particularly on the overdrive channel , they don't seem to do hardly anything. I can only really get one "tone" from it. I have tried the settings in the manual, ect. New tubes. I have played alot of other amps and this has never been an issue...
