    My Subway Blues Stinks!

Thanks guys. There is no change in the sound at all, played for an hour last night. The smell just gets weaker. They are Mesa tubes. I looked last night and didn't see anything out of the ordinary. I will look again. Maybe I should plug a different old pair of EL84s in? Could this just be the...

    My Subway Blues Stinks!

Hey guys, bought a used Subway Blues last week. I love the tone. Well, it started getting a bad crackle, so I replaced the EL84s and the noise is gone. The tone sounds even better than before. Now the amp has a bad smell after it has been on a minute or so. It seems to get weaker the more I...

New Amp Day - Subway Blues

So I make my usual monthly stop into the downtown pawnshop, and I am surprised to see Mesas in there. First all I saw was the Dual Rec head and a F series. I wasn't too interested. Then I look down and see a very clean Subway Blues. I ask the guys if I could fire it up in store. Using a Strat...

Lomestar Classic - Tracks from my bands recording

Hey guys, my band just finished up some tracks at the studio. Everything I recorded was through my LSC 112, including all the leads and my rhythm parts. http://www.myspace.com/trayehorneband

Anyone using tube retainers on there power tubes?

I have a LSC and the power tubes are very loose. I have been looking at tube retainers online and thought this may be a good idea, especially how much I take my amp out of my fifth story apartment. Anybody else using these in there Lonestars?

Additional amp to compliment a Lonestar Classic 212

I was in the same boat as you a little while ago. I was tried of using the LSC in my apt, and was tired of playing unplugged. I managed to acquire a Tweed Fender Pro Junior. It is so much fun to play around the house and practice with. I have tried it for a two amp setup, but the difficulties...

    Channel 2 cutting out intermittently

If you do a search on the forum there will be some posts. Never happened to me, but I seem to remember Deoxit from Radioshack was a popular response. Spray on an cable and continuously insert it in your effects loop. I could be way wrong, but for some reason I remember reading that on the...

The rectifier is what I thought too. Would it have an effect the 100 watt setting though?

Thanks for replying guys. I am going to make the trip soon I guess. Answers below. I guess you probably know your way around the amp pretty well so some of this might be obvious or non-factorable, but here are some things I observe that get overlooked: Speaker impedance / output match is...

    New/Old Member needing advice

Hey guys. I was a member on the old boards, but found my way back here. I need some help from you guys. I have a 2006 LSC 1x12. No mods, completely stock, bought new. I have used it for many gigs since I have had it. I did a re-tube after buying it with JJ's and loved my tone. I swore I had the...
