    single notes carry a "buzz"

I have the same problem on my Lonestar Special 1x12 with channel 2 and drive selected, when I hit a note you hear an ugly and scratchy distorted sound on the attack before settling down to the normal smooth overdrive sound. The more I engage treble and presence the more this scratchy distorted...

    Mark I Reissue sound problem

I switched on my Mesa Boogie Mark I reissue & there was no sound at all. I switched it off & on again & it worked fine. After 1 hour the sound was coming & going. The speaker cable & wires are well connected. What could be the problem? I couldn't find that in the manual.

Thank you 55tele. I'm keeping the Master volume on 2 & cranking up the input volume. That's the cure.

    Mark I reverb hum

My problem is a constant hum once i increase the reverb level from 2 & up when the master volume is from 1-10. The fix mentioned in the repair book is for the metallic noise in the tone. Can any of you guys with a Mark I reissue or any Mark series try to turn off all levels to zero, master on...

    Mark I reverb hum

Thanks markchatwin. Was the loud bassy buzz caused by this wire that you soldered in the RCA cables? By the way I just receive an email from Marcus Daniel at Mesa Boogie saying that this is a normal occurrence in any Mesa amp with reverb... he suggests to try swapping out the 12AT7 preamp tube...

    Mark I reverb hum

I hear a slight hum that gets louder when I increase the reverb level even without any cables plugged to the amp. Master 1-10, Reverb 0, almost no hum. Master 1-10, Reverb 1-10 hum gets louder as reverb level inscreased. I checked the cables of the reverb tank & everything seems to be connected...
