Which "Marshall" pedal works best with the mark V?

+1 I have owned practically every dirt box known to mankind to try and get CH2 on my Mark V to sound like the BE-OD in CH1 Clean The BE- OD works great in CH1 clean - best of both worlds with this Marshall tone in the box as well as all of the tones of the Mark V Enjoy !

    Eventide H9 and Mark V?

I purchased one but did not bond with it - I did not like the fact you cannot 4CM with it so the modulation effects all run through the loop ( i always like to have the delay in the loop) It has some cool stuff, but it did not sound as warm as the Strymon effects with the Mark V

    Nube here....any TC Electronic G-Major 2 users?

Sorry I am late to the thread. I have purchased and sold the G Major 2 twice . I love the effects and programming but when used in the loop of the Mark V the AD converters changed the tone of the amp too much. It always had some weird residual modulation and it took away some of the oomph from...

FRACTAL FX8 PEDAL BOARD WITH MARK V

Yes - I am curious about the FX8 I like my Mobius and Timeline - They work well with the Mark V, but I miss an Intelligent Harmonizer option I tried an H9 - but I did not bond with it. I also had a G Major 2 a few times and did not like the way the AD converters messed with the tone

How do I remove the grill from my Rectifier 212 horizontal c

It is screwed on from the inside. Remove the back panel, remove surround screws on the grill frame. The tricky part is in the center section where the logo is it is also "dual locked" with that snap type Velcro, so when you remove the screws it still will not budge. You will have to slightly pry...

    Mark V + TC Electronic G-Major

I had a G-Major 2 in the loop but never liked it because it changed the tone due to the A/D converters. It basically thinned out the tone IMO. Everyone is spot one with being careful about the levels and the Pro and Consumer (Global) output settings I switched to the Strymon Timeline FWIW

    OD in front - Wow!

Very cool info. I have gone through this process for a while with many OD's and boosts and landed up recently with a Suhr Koko Boost - I had the EP Booster prior but the Koko Boost is different , Channel 2 Crunch really likes it and with the Mid Freq switch it gets closer to being "Marshally"...

OD type pedals that work with Mark V - my experience

I agree with you which seems to lead to the ever ending quest for tone.....the Mark series in my experience doesn't like a lot of pedals not just OD type. It is very picky all the way around...I could probably write a thread about all of them (Chorus, Flanger, Delay, the list goes on) :?

G System or Axe FX II with the V?

Good decision, I had a G System with a Mark V and Cory summed it up well. The concept of the G System is great , but between the cabling, buffer issues etc., it was a total headache. One day I decided to unplug it and ran the Mark V dry. I could not believe how much it had changed the tone -...

OD type pedals that work with Mark V - my experience

OD type pedals that work with the Mark V from my experience and opinion: Channel 1 - Clean - Kanji or Eternity (like a 4th channel) they have their own voice which works well with Fender type cleans Channel 2 - Crunch (no EQ) - Analogman Prince of Tone (boost mode) pushes it into a great hot...

Mark V Head need help with effects

I have been down both roads with Line 6 and TC G System and G Major 2 multiple times with my Mark V. Long story short, neither solution ever sounded that great. The Mark seems to be sensitive to certain digital/analog convertors. I switched back to analog pedals controlled through a RJM Gizmo...

    Mark V Gain?

I experienced the same thing - Here is my story - I hope it helps... I was feeling a little underwhelmed with my Mark V regarding Channel 2 in Crunch Mode and somewhat in Channel 3 in Mark IV mode. I just seemed that it was lacking something, and after watching the Mesa Doug West demo on...
