    Recto Preamp?

    I use the Recto Pre with fair success...but it is coupled with other Pre's and the old 50/50 so there a disctinctly different dynamic. It took a great deal of time to dial it (like a studio pre) in but once there it works wonders. Big fat cleans and thick rhy...I don't use it for leads.

    What 2x12 extension cab do you guys use???

    For the past several years I've used mainly 2X12's. My Rhy. cab is a Randall St. w/ Swamp Thangs and a 1/3 open back...sounds fat! My lead Ch. is a modded Genz Benz 2X12 w/ V30's and is front ported...great projection when you're stepping out for your solos.

    Now you guys have me thinking something is wrong with mine! :? Mine breaks up (not in a bad way) fairly early depending how deep I dig in.

    Just leave unplugged for a few to allow caps to dissipate. I'd pull the tubes prior as well.
