NAD. Just picked up a Roadster!

I haven't got a chance to crank it yet but I'd like to ask a few qustions about the tubes I found in it. In the V positions all are mesa tubes except for V3 and V5 which are JJ's. Why would JJ's be in those positions. There are Groove Tubes GT 6L6 R in all 4 positions and Mesa 5U4GB in the other...

Hi All. I have a Triple recto 3 channel that i'm having issues with the clean channel. Basically the clean sounds overdriven. No matter what I've tried to do with the settings, tubes, switches, knobs etc. i can't get any cleans out of this head. I'm considering switching to a Roadster or a Mark...

    Tube Questions

Just out of curiosity, I decided to have a look at all the tubes in my triple recto. I thought all the tubes were all factory mesa tubes cuz they all say mesa on them, but when I got to the 12ax7 tubes, only one of the tubes said mesa on them. All the rest had no markings on them at all. I don't...

    Feedback at low volume

I'm not sure where to post this question because I'm pretty sure its got something to do with my guitar and not my amp, so here goes. I have a Triple recto. I recently installed a set of Duncan Blackouts AHB-1 in my guitar and noticed all kinds of feedback on my high gain channel 3. I use...

    Triple Recto 3 Channel

I know that the recto's are not great for cleans but I seem to be getting a slight distortion on the clean channel. I have 9 guitars with pick ups ranging from EMG's to D'imarzios, to Duncans to Bill Lawrence to factory junk but still seem to get a bit of distortion. My amp is all factory tubes...

Referb Pedal for a Triple Recto 3 Channel

Can anyone recommend a reverb pedal for this amp? I'd be using it the loop so my guess would be an analog pedal because of the parallel loop? I'm not going to mod this to a serial loop because I don't want to lose the solo function(from what I understand will happen if I do the mod). Thanks

    Need some clarification please!

I have a Triple Recto, 3 chan head. From what I've found and read on the series loop mod is confusing me. What I would like to do mod my amp to a series loop and still retain all of my functions such as solo boost, master volume, etc. Now from what I have read, modding it to a series loop will...

Question about geting a good clean sound

From what I have been reading on this forum is that by changing tubes to alter the high gain channel you lose some clean on the clean channels. But I haven't come across anything here that will get a better clean tone. Maybe I just missed it or haven't come across it yet. So my question is -...

I have a popping noise when I switch channels.

Hi guys. I'm new to this board and just bought a used trip recto and cab. I have a popping noise when I switch channels. I've ruled out the pedal as i tried another one. I think its coming from the amp. Is there anyway to fix this myself? Is it something dirty inside? Can someone point me inthe...
