How about this 3 modes - 2 channels - same modes in each channel. I don't use Fat clean or tite clean so replace/Mod it with tite gain and fluid drive:twisted: It's a great amp and its doing what I want it too but I feel it could have more gain in that first channel. Who can do this Mod :?:

Try using a Mesa SPAX7 in V1. It helped bring down that hiss type noise in fluid drive mode about 20% maybe more... and tighten up the over all sound of the amp. I like what this tube did. Mesa Ace Head Stiletto 4-12- v-30 68 Les Paul Custom Area 51 wah Klotz LaGrange Cables

Sweet spot is right. I'm very happy with my stock stiletto ace head when jammming full out rock rehersals and shows with the band. This amp cuts through and sits on the bass and drums at high and low volumes just right. It took some tweeking with tone settings and effects levels but after that...

My verdict is the Express 5-25,1-12, v-30 combo is a killer amp. Now that the v-30 in broken in it rips I just order a stiletto 4-12 stright with v-30's to get even more tone. Very happy with this amp. It does everything I need it to do. Set on Crunch and Burn Setting using a 2002 68ri Black...
