    Anyone use an attenuator on your Boogie?

    I usually don't like to attenuate a master volume amp. But This Mark I is loud on 1 and WAY loud on 2. I couldn't imagine turning it to 10 :shock: The tone really kicks in at about 2, but may be a bit loud in some venues. Anyone have good results using an attenuator on one of these monster...

    MESA MARK I...... AWESOME!

    Yeah, so I found out the amp I just bought is a 70s Mark I combo equipped with a EV SRO speaker. At first I had trouble dialing in a good tone. I think the trick is not to turn both preamp vols up too high. I took out the Chinese tubes and put in a pair of NOS Tung Sol 5881s and some good USA...
