    Can the F-series do Metal/Metalcore?

I don't need modern Recto distortion (would be nice though) and I like having a sound that is different than the other bands in my town. I guess my real question is can it it get as heavy as a DC-5 in Contour mode? How would they compare? To my ears there just really is'nt anything special...

    Can the F-series do Metal/Metalcore?

I doubt you'd be happy with an F series for those needs.....s' more of a rock/blues trip. Does'nt have the chunk you're talking about. Yes, it's very loud...... cuts through just dandy. Price range is what you said more or less for an f50....at least for the head. Combos probably 100...

    F-50 owners?

For a bedroom setting tho, -16 is still plenty loud. When you turn the cut downward hard it does suck...

    F-50 owners?

Oh yeah......Zakk W is a very good commercial OD. I've seen other players compare it to a boss SD1 and have said it's no different but to me it's got way more harmonics, a bit more gain and the eq has a wee bit more range. Sounds good through the clean channel as a stand alone and boosts the...

    F-50 owners?

Alrighty then.....this is a very nice looking board. I've had a short head for about a year and a half. As everyone knows, it's a ferociously loud beast, so I do run it with an 8ohm hotplate. I've never tried any other attenuater so I could'nt comment. I currently blow through a homebuilt 2x12...
