I think one of the EL84 powertubes in my Express 525 has gone bad. I believe I know which one but not completely sure, one is definitely glowing brighter than the other. I figured I would buy a replacement. Do I need to buy a "matched pair" and if so....why? Is a crackling distortion that fades...

Thought I might build a speaker cab this winter to add another 1x12 cabinet to my 5:25 1x12. I have read several forums and still not sure what to get. I was wondering what folks here thought would be the best compliment? I plan on making a cab with open and closed back capabilities.
