Has anyone ever made a low watt IIC+ clone amp.

I've often thought with all of the boutique builders out there making lower wattage modded Marshall tones, why has no one gone down this path?

How many mark v versions exist?

There may not be any official revisions, but when I sent my early Mk V (sn in the 500's) in for a problem with the Mk IV mode on Channel 3, they said there was a wiring update that they installed. It did fix the problem.

Quad pre, TC Electronics G-Force and Rocktron All Access ?'s

Right on. I am using one of the instant access switches to trigger the effects bypass. I want to be able to change presets and not have the instant access switch change from wherever it is. Hmmmm...

Quad pre, TC Electronics G-Force and Rocktron All Access ?'s

So I've got a Rocktron All Access and I've got it 95% programmed. But, I can't figure out how to make the 'instant access switches' not be affected when I change presets. Can anyone help me here? Thanks in advance...

Quad pre, TC Electronics G-Force and Rocktron All Access ?'s

I did hook the G-Force into the power amp in stereo. But, I just sent the input of the G-Force a mono feed from the Quad. I need to get a midi foot controller now so I can have more fun with the G-Force and use my old midi octopus to change channels on the quad!

Quad pre, TC Electronics G-Force and Rocktron All Access ?'s

I think I found it. A single out from output A to the G-Force. G-Force to power amp. It is a simple set up, but I think it will serve me well. Now I just need to figure out a good midi pedal to use... Hmmmm.....

Quad pre, TC Electronics G-Force and Rocktron All Access ?'s

Hello! I have used my beloved Quad pre with my Simul-Stereo 395 for years. I have recently acquired a TC Electronics G-Force. I know I can use the effects loop or just plug the outs of the Quad into the G-Force. I wanted to ask you folks with some experience with hooking a stereo effects unit...

Amp opinions: To Hiwatt or not to Hiwatt

It truly depends on what you want to do with it. I have owned a few over the years and to me they are MAGIC. But, you MUST be a person who likes to use pedals and/or effects if you want more than that one sound. It loves pedals. That's part of it's huge appeal to me. I like the 50 watt one...

    Yet another IIC/ IIC+ aberration

It may not sound bad. My beloved IIC/IIC+ aberration has a serial number of 110xx. If it had a graphic on it, i bet people would be bidding it up more. He kind of has done a crappy job of listing it with a title that won't get hits when people search. Weird thing is, I don't see that it is...

    Mark III ++ (NAD)

Sounds very cool. I'm glad to hear it gets you where you need to be. I owned a 'C++' for years, but I had to have a clean channel, so back to 'C+' it went. But, I can sure appreciate the tone you are currently enjoying! Rock on!

    Mark III for heavy music

I have owned at least 6 Mark III's over the years. (Yes, I know it's ridiculous.) In short, I love 'em. I still own 2 of them. I would advise downloading the owner's manual from Mesa online. Look at the sample settings provided and use them as points of departure as you twiddle the...

I got my IIC back from Mesa... Mike worked wonders on it!

Having owned and experienced the '++' mod, I do think having the ability to make it switchable would be cool. But, I now know if you think you need more poop outta the lead channel than a '+' will give you... You probably don't. I promise! Hahaha! I am enjoying using a pedal for my 'crunch'...

I got my IIC back from Mesa... Mike worked wonders on it!

Has anyone else experienced a 'IIC++'? I sure wouldn't recommend it if you value a nice clean channel. I found out some interesting stuff about my amp too. I guess it started life as a 'HRG', but someone had it changed to Simul-Class along the way. I also benefitted from Mesa's glut of X101...
