Hello, everyone. Quick question on a MKII....if one was to remove two tubes..one from each side....would one want to run the in-cab speaker on one of the 4 ohm outputs so as to maintain an impedance match?

Those are pictures of two well-done PCB amp circuits.

How many of you have seen this? I jsut had #3104 open and there is a small, blue adjustment for the bias over on the board where the bias caps are. IT looks factory....about 5/16" in diameter and has a high ratio of turns to change in voltage. Just wondering.....

MKII's are on PCB's....therefore all MKIIC are on PCB's. I haven't had the opportunity to open up a MKI to know whether or not they are PCB amps, but I am going to guess that they are. Teh latest Boogie I have opened up was a 1979 MKII. IT has the same type of thick board with big traces PCB...

I would think that you would want a tech to replace the screen resistor/s that are burnt and to look that amp over. The screen resistors should be in good working condition. These resistors have more than one funciton in the amp and need to be there in good working order. I would advise not...

NOrmal warning...dangerous voltages are present. Using a conductive screwdriver to staighten out thos pin clamps can be dangerous. At least two of those pins..1&6....have amybe 200 volts on them. That metal screwdriver can take that voltage to ground quickly. Adam, I agree with fish that the...

My apologies...misread and misthought. I will say this...the bias voltage is the voltage that determines current draw. Current draw is the thing that interests me the most. The same bias voltage with a different tube in a certain circuit can yield different current draw. This is why Mesa grades...
