i was possibly think about getting a recto and making a full stack with my 3/4 back or i wanted to have two vintage 30s and two black shadows in each cab.

i want to get one of these cabs. i believe they both come with vintage 30s. does anyone have opinions on the different tones/ features of these cabinets?

the 8x10 is a 1970 so it is one of those old marshall 8 ohm cabs. i am making due with the black shadows for now, but i guess i will have to try some other speakers out. has anyone ever used warehouse speakers? i hear they are great clones of celestions.

i see. thank you for the tip. right now i play the one amp through 2 cabinets. the mesa 3/4 cab as well as a marshall 8x10 with very low wattage speakers. the tone sounds so good together, but it is not practical to travel with the marshall cab. it is to big for the van and a rare piece as well.

i play a mesa mark III through a 3/4 closed back mesa 4x12 w/ black shadow C90s. i want to take out two of the C90s and put in either two Greenbacks or two Vintage 30s. any recommendations and suggestions?

awesome thank you. i use this amp for recording and live shows. i have another mark III which is a 1988 60 watt blue stripe to the best of my knowledge. I have to tinker with it some more. it has all electro-harmonix tubes in it right now and it does not sound even close to as good as this amp...

I am confused. As you can see below. my mark III has a purple swipe above the power cord but it also has a red R. What stripe would this be?

I have two mark III's. one is a 1988 blue stripe 50 watt head i believe. the other is a 1986 red stripe 100 watt simul-class model i believe. i use the red stripe pretty much for everything, recording and live shows. I have no idea what the differences are other than the obvious ones...

it sounds awesome. i play 4 black shadows in the mesa and the marshall is a 1970 marshall 8x10 cabinet. I was just worried that i may have had the ohm rates set up wrong. I like the tone effect i get of the 90 watt big speakers with the 10 watt speakers. a very cool mix.

I use two str440 6l6's as well as two str440 EL34's. It sounds great, big warm low end and crisp cleans. I just bought a set of new tubes and i think they are like str447 instead of str440. hope this doesn't make too much of a difference because i really like the sound i get with what is in...
