Mark V:25 and 2x12 Vertical Recto Cab

Like new. Everything from the factory except for the original shipping box for the cab is included plus a speaker cable and 2 spare El84's. 2.5 years left on the warranty. Located in Mead, CO. I will ship if buyer covers UPS fee. This rig has never left my home and was very well cared for...

I have the exact amp/cab combo and I love it. The 1/4 stack is incredibly versatile in the fact that you can pack it into a car without any help and it will still keep up with a band volume wise. I recently bought a Boss GT-100 to use in 4CM and to switch the channels. Works and sounds wonderful.

Mark V:35 Say WHAT?!?! Short Head and 1x12 combo

No one is "whining" about anything. I simply have a problem being a test market for a company who already had this in the works when the V:25 came out and lied about having no plans on making it a combo. But everyone is absolutely right. Mesa, as a privately held company, is certainly within...

Mark V:35 Say WHAT?!?! Short Head and 1x12 combo

All I know is that I went from having a unique and desirable product one day and having it reduced to the "base model" which be over abundant on the used market and devalued the next. If you sell boutique, high end products at a boutique, high end price point then I expect that company to...

Mark V:35 Say WHAT?!?! Short Head and 1x12 combo

I know and I still really love my V:25 but I can't help but be pissed that I was used as a test market. If they introduced a Mark VI a year after the V came out I would feel the same.

Mark V:35 Say WHAT?!?! Short Head and 1x12 combo

Thank you Mesa Boogie for tanking the value of my less than a year old V:25. I really don't appreciate being a test market so that I and any others who bought your "new" product can take it in the *** when you make what we spent our hard earned money on obsolete less than a f#%$#ing...

Rectoverb 25, Mini Rec, Mark V:25.....Mercury OT?

Are you just bored or are there specific changes you are trying to make to your amp?

Who is using EMG's in the V?Any problems?

I'm convinced that the Mark V:25 was built around the Het-Set. There is NO better pickup for that amp.

    question to Mark V-25 owners

I've played with a loud drummer a few times and I can drown him out with the volume I have on tap. 25 watts is a ton in a tube amp. People are just used to 50 or 100 watts being the norm. When I gigged regularly with my Mark IV I always used Class A, Triode which was probably less than what the...

It can be easy to do. I check my speaker cable every time before I power up. Ounce of prevention and all that.

    Cab for mark III

I guess I'm the only one who thinks the consensus is bass-ackwards. For home jamming you want to sound good and you never have to move the cab so go big and heavy with the 4x12. If I were gigging still I'd use the combo or a 1x12 for ease of transport. Besides, you have a 98.5% chance...

Which pairs best for Mark V:25? 50:50 or 2:50 power amp?

I's still not sure exactly what it is you are trying to accomplish. An additional power amp will make you louder. The Mark V:25 should have enough gain, saturation, and volume for any reasonable guitarist with plenty to spare. Do you have any previous experience with tube amps? They can sound...

Which pairs best for Mark V:25? 50:50 or 2:50 power amp?

More wattage will not get more gain. Only more volume. If a Mark V:25 isn't getting you enough gain with your settings in Mark IV mode then either something is not functioning properly or you need to take up the french horn or something other than a guitar.

NAD: Triaxis, 20/20, and Recto 2x12!!!

There's one in every group. Mess around with the tone stack and DV a bit. The Tri is pretty picky about certain settings but you should be able to get familiar with them with one or two good jam sessions. Have fun!
