Is anyone using MIDI to handle channel & effect loop switching on your Road King? If so, exactly how are you doing it? Are you hooking up a MIDI controller directly to the footswitch input on the back of the amp, or are you using external switchers to control the various 1/4 triggers on the...

So far, I use Vintage 30's and I like how they emphasize the lower mids. You might want to consider Tone Tubby's hemp speakers as well, I hear they're quite good, too. Santana and Clapton use them now.

To add more low end to your sound, consider a closed back cab. I've tried a bunch, and now I use a Mesa Recto 2x12 with Vintage 30's. Great cab. Hope that helps!
