    Lonestar classic head - help!

I recently picked up a used 4X12 which is rated at 8ohm. I plugged my lonestar head into (using 8ohm jack) and played on the clean channel for a few minutes, everything sounded great. Switched to channel two and instantly amp cut out then went dead. Did I just blow a fuse? Possibly the cab...

    Celestion speakers

I have a 2X12 with a V30 and an Eminence Legend. I'm thinking about replacing the legend with a G12T-75. Anyone have experience with this speaker combination with a LSC Head? Alot of people say the G12T-75 can be shrill and on the high end side, but since the LSC is so mid heavy and the V30...

    Marshall sounding pedal

Has anyone found a pedal that will get close to a cranked marshall tone (ie Angus Youngish) from a Lonestar? I realize the only way to get that tone is to buy a Marshall stack, but I'm looking for a distortion or overdrive pedal that can simulate this, if this is even possible. Thanks.

    4ohms vs 8ohms

I'm looking for a cabinet for my lonestar head and am a little confused regarding ohms. Is there a difference in sound, power handling, etc... between an 8ohm and 4ohm cabinet? The amp has two 4ohm outputs and one 8ohm output, so I'm not sure if its best to get an 8ohm or 4 ohm head or if it...

    Should my Lonestar be louder?

I bought a used lonestar classic head the other day and love the sounds I'm getting so far. With the tube amps I've owned in the past (40 to 60 watt amps), setting the volume past 2 results in ear shattering volume. With the lonestar on channel one with every knob at 12 o-clock, the amp is...

    Lonestar - ohms?

What about wattage? If I get a 60 watt cab will I never be able to use the 100 watt setting?

    Lonestar - ohms?

I have an older lonestar classic head on its way to me so I need to pick up a 2X12 cabinet and was wondering how many ohms the cabinet needs to be. I've only ever had combos in the past so I'm not sure how the ohms work. Thanks.

    Early Lonestar Classic Heads

Hello, I've been researching the lonestar for some time and have decided to purchase one. I have the opportunity to buy a used one, it is one of the early models and is the shorter/taller shape. It sounds like its been gigged a fair bit but the owner assures me its in 100% working order. Is...
