I've decided I like the cleans on the Nomad better than the ones on the Rectifiers. But I also like the rectifier distortion. I didn't have enough time to try out the dirty channel on the Nomad, but does it have that modern high gain/crunch/buzzy distortion that the rectifiers have?

When does this sale end? And is it all over the place? Anyone know if this sale is in Maryland too?

I've recently tried out a Stiletto Deuce head. I have to say I was not impressed at all (thats just my opinion). It seemed that I couldn't get that hard rock sound out of it and the dials would hardly make a difference. But I only tried it for maybe less than 5 minutes. Are these amps generally...

Which one would you guys recommend?... Also I heard theres no sense in getting an attenuator for an amp with a master volume control. Does the master volume somehow act as an attenuator?

Ohh one more thing... Sorry if this topic is getting long, but would anyone recommend a closed or open-back cabinet for this kinda sound? Or maybe a 3/4 closed-back?

The first sample was recorded with a Hughes & Kettner Triamp III. It sounds similiar to the Mark IV I believe. The second one was done with some sort of Rectifier. And the third one was done with a Mark IV.

Thanks for the replies... I'll probably look into the Rect-O-Verb. I have one more question though, will I have to crank the volume, or in other words, get the tubes screamin' in order to get the soundin kickin' in that range?
