    FS - Triaxis US Voltage

For sale is my Triaxis, ver 2, non phat, in great working condition. The unit has US voltage. Asking 900 Euro, plus shipping. The unit is in Romania, the shipping for most EU countries should be around 50 Euro. Please contact me here, through PM, or at dragos_simionescu (at) yahoo dot com

    Is the Triaxis for me?

I also find the cleans lacking. I couldn't get any chime out of any of the clean channels, even with the presence boosted to 9. No DV on those, because I feel it doesn't make them chime, it only makes them thin. The R1 is either dull, with the gain at 1-3, or brakes up in a not so chimey way...

    50/50 vs 2:90

Ok, I know this was discussed before, and I read most of the topics regarding this. I do have some specific questions though. I have a Triaxis and a decent sounding 2xEL34 hand made power amp. The rig sounds good, but I always felt that the power amp is not quite up to par to the Triaxis...

Would you recommend a Triaxis for my Rig?

First of all, the Phat mod refers only to the Lead 1 red channel, which is not a Mark channel. If you only need the mark channels you shoud not worry about which version you get. You should test the Mark IV preamp through the Uberschall power amp section. If that sounds good, then by all means...

    Triaxis and regular amp???

You have to plug the Triaxis into a power amp. That means you have to use only the power amp section of your Lonestar, which means you must plug into the FX return, bypassing the Lonestar preamp. The manual focuses on rack units because the Triaxis is a rack unit, but that should not stop you to...

Anyone using a G system with triaxis?

Thanks a lot. I will try to test one with my own setup, but from what you're saying it looks pretty good.

Anyone using a G system with triaxis?

Can you please give me a comparision between the GSP and the GS on the following issues: - The Wah - I find that the GSP has a decent wah, is the G system at least as good? - The Whammy - I use it quite a lot, placed in the "pre" section (as I would place a normal whammy pedal). Can it be used...

    Triaxis Lead 1 Drive

If the "knob" is stuck in the min or max setting you most likely have a bad LDR. Not something you could diagnose or repair yourself, unfortunately. OTOH, quite an easy fix for a qualified technician.

Anyone using a G system with triaxis?

Please keep us posted. I also have the GSP 1101 and I am considering the G System as an upgrade. I would really like to know, after you get the unit, if this upgrade is really worth it. Thx!

Rack FX and External EQ with the Triaxis

My experience is that the Triaxis output is extremely hot, meaning that you could have some problems if you place effects between that and your power amp. For me, the best wiring scheme is TA send -> FX -> Power amp. I don't find any benefit in going back into the Triaxis. This way I have...

Poll: Best multi-effects processor around $500

I think that the only ones from your lis tthat can do 4CM are the GSP 1101 and Boss GT10. One is rackmount, the other is floorbased. They are both great units, Boss being a bit deeper, which is not necessarily a good thing.

    Mesa 20/20 Deep Mod

The circuit board is to switch the deep mode remotely. In the "classic" approach you send the signal through the two leads to the switch. In the remote approach the signal path stays short, and the external leads only carry the switching signal.

Please help me build my first Mesa rack!

It all depends on the capabilities of the G Sharp. With more "serious" rack units you can send CC messages (from the foot controller) to access different parameters on the FX unit, including turning on/off effects within a patch. From a brief look at the G Sharp it seems that in can only do...

Please help me build my first Mesa rack!

Both the Triaxis and the G Sharp are MIDI compatible. That means you can control each of them with a standard MIDI foot controller. I am not familiar with the G Sharp, but this basically means that you can program your foot controller to select any combination of Triaxis preset and G Sharp...

Suggestions on first rack mount effects unit please

I own the GSP1101 and also had my hands on a GMajor (v1) No doubt about it, the Digitech wins. The interface of the G Major made me feel lika an idiot, probably the first electronic device that succedeed that :d The GSP otoh feels like a bunch of pedals, with very logical layed out parameters...

    Triaxis output levels

Well, it seems that you confirm all that I noticed about my unit. You know, there is actually one thing that can be done, without messing with the circuit inside the Triaxis. V5 is the tube that handles all the final amplification (one half for each one of the stereo outputs), and its gain is...

    Triaxis output levels

I actually imagined that I could use the rec out live, with my regular patch levels. It sure seems like a normal scenario. On the other hand, I might see a problem with balancing the clean and lead tones. With 5 on a normal drive (L2Y) preset, I turn the clean to about 3, or maybe even 1 if I...

    Triaxis output levels

I'm having some problems understanding the various output levels of the Triaxis. I tested it in the following manner: Preset volume 5 (half) The send output puts out a reasonable volume, which fed into my sound card is OK. The record out heavily overdrives my sound card's input, making it...

Here's a bunch of Triaxis sounds

Great sounds, and great songs! What DV setting do you generally use on the Lead 2 main drive sounds? This is the control that gives me the hardest time, I find that it is always too little or too much.

TRIAXIS / 2:90 Problem... Please help

Try to isolate the problem. First of all, use a different power amplifier, and see if the problem is on the TA or the 2:90. It most likely is in the TA. Then, try to see if all the outputs of the TA exhibit the same problem: Out A, out B, send, rec out. Depending on that, the problem could lie...
