    DR volume levels

Agree with it is loud, but with all channels at midday, channel 1 will be pretty loud, channel 2 louder again, and channel 3 on midday I wouldn't want to be in the room!

    DR volume levels

It's not what I would call super loud, last night I had the output on 12 and channel one pulled back to 1pm, mids on 2pm, and channel 3 on 10.30 still considerably louder. There is no way in hell I would then turn up channel 3 to midday, would be stupid loud. How about you try, channel 3 on...

    DR volume levels

All relative to output of pickups and gain level setting on individual channels. Set all levels with your ear, I run gain on channel 1 at 12.30, and with the volume at around 2pm to get close enough to channel 3 at 10am on the output level. Channel 2 sits somewhere in between but even then...

    What is THE recto tone?

This - http://thehiddenwinter.net/ Turn it up loud. :)

    Dual Rec - 6L6 or EL34 or KT77...?

So the amp sounds **** good lately having jammed with it recently. Though I noticed with the effects loop the tones were a little washy sounding compared with usual, so I have gone back to the stock chinese tube in V4, hoping that this may help! Besides that everything does sound pretty well...

New Video: Single Rectifier Vs. Dual Rectifier

Finally got around to watching, and very much reminded me of going from the Solo 50 I had to my 2009 Dual Rec. I remember gigging with the Solo 50 too. In my experience the tone of the Dual doesn't really come to life until loud output levels, but I also remember at those sorts of levels with...

Dual Rec owners whats your favorite Mic for recording and PA

SM57 carefully placed will get you the sound you hear in the room, I have done this recently with my cheap yamaha interface and double tracked it sounds massive. Needs a bit of volume (loud bedroom level, not band levels) but I found using decent headphones and hitting a chord then moving the...

New Video: Single Rectifier Vs. Dual Rectifier

Having owned both amps, I was actually pretty disheartened with the dual rec at first, as the single seemed more aggressive in the gain and heavy tone department. The only thing I have found the dual better for is a more versatile sound being that it has three channels that can be very nicely...

New Video: Single Rectifier Vs. Dual Rectifier

I can't watch the video right now, but in hindsight I kinda regret getting rid of my solo 50 head for a dual rec 3ch head, but mainly due to my experience having grown with the dual, and thinking I could probably pull a hell of a sound out of the single rec with what I know these days. Maybe I...

    Dual Rec - 6L6 or EL34 or KT77...?

I never really seem to have my sound lost in the mix, was more looking for a heavier tone, seem to have got there now. Thanks guys.

    What is THE recto tone?

The sound of a Rectifier amp usually being played with a humbucker equipped axe? Oh and adjust EQ to taste.

    Boost Vs. No Boost (Video)

Killer tones! All your vids are awesome man, that new track especially. - Paul

    Dual Rec - 6L6 or EL34 or KT77...?

Thanks guys, if my band doesn't completely fall apart, I shall someday continue my journey for tone! Outside of actual band jamming I would otherwise rarely play the amp.

    Rock tone from recto?

I have found the opposite with the Recto, great all round rock amp, the stock amp without some sort of boost is not a metal amp at all IMO. I seem to have gotten the heavier sound I was looking for out of it for now though, but as for taming the thing down, easily done by tweaking your channel...

    Dual Rec - 6L6 or EL34 or KT77...?

Well after firing up the amp again today and playing around with it a bit, I am happy to say the preamp tubes have worked wonders, sure there is a little extra noise, but I am actually pretty stoked with ch2 and ch3 tones now. Thanks heaps guys, will make a choice on whether or not to swap out...

    Dual Rec - 6L6 or EL34 or KT77...?

Hey Dom, got the tubes in today and fitted them as you suggested. Sound is great, cleans are as always but fuller, channel 2 is smoother, and channel 3 angry and crisp. Amp makes more noise at idle now, but I couldn't care about that really when the tones are there. Only tried it in the...

I think I like parallel better than series???????

Great pedal, send level around 11.30 to 12 oclock, and mix level around 90 percent, close to dimed, but I find it best with slightly backed off, adjust pedal effect level to around 2 oclock. Adjust pedal to taste, works perfect for band levels.
