    Single Rectifier vs Roadster

Man, have you people heard SteveHubbard on YouTube? That guy rips and has some smokin' reviews. My question is, how the heck does he get his Single Rectifier to sound like that? My Roadster doesn't even come close to that sound! The Roadster definitely is smoother and darker. I love his...

People's reverbs don't work on their Roadsters?

I love my new Avatar Contemporary cabinet...

Personally, I think this sounds comparable to the Dual Rec 212, with just less boom and bass. It is very sturdy and the V-30s are breaking in very nicely. I suggest it to anyone who can resist the urge to go name brand. The build quality is amazing, the materials and construction are great...

    My Roadster

Anyone find their Roadster's noisy. Mine had a hum, that I think was a power tube. I swapped it and all is good again.

What are you thoughts on Avatar cabs, in particular...

I am thinking of buying a new Avatar 2x12 Contemporary cabinet. Not for the "Orange-look," mainly because it looks very sturdy and well-built for a closed-back cabinet. I am guessing the bass tones will be very focused, but that is just based on looks and past experience. Any opinions worth...

Can I record direct from my Roadster into my MacBookPro...

...using Logic Studio. I am new to recording, and don't have any mic's at the moment. Is there anyway I can record the Roadster direct, from the head itself? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. -Bud

Going to be playing my first show and....

I am starting to get a bit nervous. I am not the singer, just the rhythm guitarist. I don't know what has overcome me, but I get all shaky thinking about it. I think just the fact that I could make, and probably will, make a mistake is what gives me this onslaught of anxiety. Anyways, if...

Need help in buying a budget backup guitar for my...

...Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster. I would go with a MIM Strat, but Fender raised their prices and I can't justify $600 for that guitar right now. Any suggestions? I've thought about buying an Epiphone Special II and upgrading the tuners to locking tuners. Any other suggestions? I just...

Questions about gigging with my new Roadster

Hello: Here's the deal. I am the proud owner of a Roadster that I bought from GC last February. The amp has brought me nothing but joy and spankin' tone, but my question is, would it be wise to gig without a backup to this amp? The tubes have very litttle time on them, since our band only...

Roadster Midi port on back, what does is do?

The manual very briefly describes this port on the Roadster. My question is what does it do? Could I hook up a channel to my MacBook Garageband to record tracks? Is that the purpose of the Midi thing on the Roadster? I am not too up to date on Midi stuff. PLEASE, take the time to help me! -Bud

    New Mesa Roadster, finally!

Just wanted to share my joy and feelings of conquest after purchasing my new Mesa Roadster head today! I bought it at Guitar Center, and let me tell you, it sounds amazing! I definitely feel I lucked out with a good one. Even at low volumes it sounds great. Man, the clean channel is...

Wait for the New Mark V or Bogner Shiva 6L6

Could the new Mark be that great?!?! What do YOU out there think? If I did order the Mark V, when would I see it? Thanks!

Is Lonestar good for music like STP, Jimmy Eat World, etc

I really love the Lonestar flexibility and simplicity. The cleans are to die for, and all of its options seem logical. I just haven't seen much on the drive channel. Any help would be appreciated. I am also considering a Fender Twin, or a Rockerverb. Maybe even the Mark V, if the hype is...

Is there lagtime when switching channels on Stiletto like...

...the Mesa Roadster? From what I hear, that sounds absolutely annoying. I am trying to gain all the info I can about the Stiletto before I go rock out on one. I am stuck between this and the Rockerverb 50. Is the effects channel on the Stiletto very good? Also, it doesn't have reverb...

    Stiletto or Roadster?

Hello! I am needing some help from those familiar with both or either of these amps. I am going to be getting one soon, and have played both numerous times with my 2008 American Deluxe Fender Stratocaster HSS. Why should I choose one over the other in your opinion? I play rock music mostly...

Orange Rockerverb vs Mesa Boogie Stiletto Deuce

I am curious to everyone's opinion on which would be the more versatile amp to go with. The videos I have seen of the Stiletto (aside from Timmons rig setup vid) make the Stiletto sound much life a Recto; tight, aggressive, yet more musical. The videos I have seen on the Rockerverb sound...

How much extra does it cost to get the Custom Options done?

I noticed on the Mesa website that there are many, many custom options available. Personally, I don't like the way some of the Mesa's look stock, therefore I am thinking about getting one customized. Has anybody had any experience with this? The website did not list any costs or imply any...

HELP ME! Roadster vs Dual Rectifier 3-channel; distortion

HELLO! I still need some more info from those who own these amps and who have compared the two. I need to know what the consensus is so I know what to expect before I buy my first Mesa. 1) Is the distortion voicing similar if not the same on the two? If not, what about the sound is...

    Thinking about purchasing a Lonestar...

I absolutely love the tone this amp can give, well, at least from what I have heard online. Has anyone played out of the new ones with the 10-watt option? This option seems like such a great thing and all so that you can play this amp at considerably lower levels. Is this option a good thing...
