    Show me your rack!

+1, I would also like to know how that can be achieved. In my case, I have a Tech 21 PowerEngine and I was wondering how I could set up 2 different preamps running seperately but without changing cables

    Metal Amps

Personally, I would narrow it down to Mesa Boogie, Rivera and CAA. If money is no problem then I would probably pick a CAA although it's only custom ordered and it would probably take some time to be delivered but..c'mon...custom made.. yeah! ;p. The Rivera has tons of gain! You can't go wrong...

    Metal Amps

You can take a look at Rivera, Bogner, Soldano, Diezel, CAA. Although a bit pricey I guess

    Where to buy

Indeed, the odds of that happening are next to nothing :(

    Where to buy

If you could persuade the dealer to write a very low price on the tag (or whatever it is they check on the airport) or even send it as a gift or sth like that then there is a very good chance you'll avoid the Custom's tax. Otherwise, you'll end up paying even higher. But, I don't know any details

    G-Major vs Nova Delay

I went with the Nova Delay afterall (I would like the TimeFactor but didn't have the extra cash) But, I was dissapointed with the modulation. I thought it would be better but anyway... The delay is very good and I love it!

what amps to augment your Boogie arsenal?

My next amp purchase would be either a Rivera KTre or Mark V (combo territory) or a CAE SE+ or AxeFX (preamp territory). But I'm waiting to see the new amps from Freyette (former VHT guy), I have a feeling they will be gooood!

If you could buy any tube preamp, what would it be???

    Studio Pre hiss problem

i forgot to inform that I found the source of the problem It was the crappy zoom gfx8 i used for the effects. You see, I tried running the zoom after the studio pre to use it for effects but the tone suckage was just TOO much. But the zoom has this option which you can use an external drive...

    G-Major vs Nova Delay

I'm not a very big fan of rack effects and I only need delays,so how are the two compared as far as the quality of the delay is concerned? Any major differences that would make me choose a ND over the G-Major?

TC G Major or Eventide TimeFactor

Nice. Now you got me considering a Timefactor again  If you buy it soon I'll be glad to hear if you're happy with the chorus :D

TC G Major or Eventide TimeFactor

The Timefactor only has delays. It has no chorus or reverb. The G-Major covers what you need

    Studio Pre hiss problem

eq doesn't make a difference when i'm in rhythm mode, I can't really say there's that annoying hiss. At the same output volume, rhythm channel is super clean compared to lead mode. Even if i play all volume up, there's a hiss in the clean mode but it's not disturbing like the lead channel, it's...

    Studio Pre hiss problem

I've tried the Treble to zero but the hiss was still there. Same for the fat/bright switches. No difference in the hiss I described I'm not talking, however, about a normal hiss like you describe which occurs from very high settings. I know what that sounds and what i'm experiencing here is a...
