thanks for your replies, I found the problem was not the V4 tube at all but the springs inside the tank were not balanced? ie. the four little springs that hold the main springs were not set at even height. thanks again though :)

Hi all, Noob here, so I want to replace the ecc81 in v4 to see if it fixes the reverb problem, can anyone tell me what the 5th tube is for???? It's in a studio 22+, the reverb works fine untill I bump the amp, the reverb rattles and is replaced with noise instead of reverb. Any feedback on this...
