I mean im a UK'r. and the prices are ridiculous. i cant really figure out why they are that expensive? The only differences i know of between US models and EU models is the Export transformer and the varistor.

where do they have LDR's in the mark IV.

err are you sure its LDR's? and not LED's? Just ask them to do a full maintanence check, if thats possible.

i just want a mark IV to be able to get some nice DreamTheater petrucci tones and more! cos i think i think his tones are amazing.

I cant possibly try both, but im looking to create similair style rythmn and leads tones as petrucci, cos they sound amazing. How well can i recreate those tones of IIC+ with External EQs and ODs. any input at all. thanks.
