i have to sell it to get back money at the moment, then i like to try other brands, i've always wanted to get a Mesa ;) the Herbert is fantastic and more of course but i want something thighter, different. the Herbert is yet tight but it's a looser feel.

i'm ok with you of course but listen albums like mop or ride the lightning or ajfa, there distortion is very toght and present, it's not a overdrive for sure. some amps couldn't reach that level. as i have a herbert, where distortion and saturation are moooooore than you could imgine ;) i was...

that's the point, i want an amp that can give me the righ ( high ) distortion without the help of a boost or overdrive. maybe randall amps can as they are more heavier... i guess i have to spend to get a good amp :) as you say..no pain no gain ;)

what about an express 5:25 head with a 2 speakers cab?

i played a combo 5:25 amp yesterday. i liked it, but it's too expensive..i don't know... if i remember well it costs 1350 Euros i haven't heard the dual nor the single rectifier y/d though...
