    Mark V - Is it easier to dial in/keep dialed in than the IV

    I think the Mark V will work great for all of the points listed. I've been using my 1x12 combo for about three months now in a 5 piece hard rock/metal band. While the combo is very portable, I find it lacking to attain the right stage power. Sure the soundguy can make it sound good out front...

    Tried a Bogner Uberschall today.

    Yes, I agree that an in store trial is usually completely worthless. I recently tried out a Stiletto Trident that my local store has. At low volume, is was nothing but fizz. Probably sounds great turned up.

    I really like having a footswitchable fx loop, so I can have a chorus and an OD pedal for solos. But I cannot get the levels to work. When the knob is centered, the signal is very quiet when the loop is engaged. so, I crank up the knob, which also brings up the volume of the un-looped signal...
