My 2 Ninety's fan is noisy as well.
I also get a lot of noise and loud hum from my triaxis/2 ninety setup, haven't tried switching outlets.

I live in Toronto and $1400 sounds pretty cheap. Here around $1500-2000 is the going price for Mark IV.
