I recently discovered that My Reverb knob on my MKIII purple/simul/EQ acts like a mid range knob starting middy on ether extreme(1 or 10) and scooping ,rather niceley i'd say,at 5-6. is this a mod or something everyone does? scooping makes for some wicked palm mutes and chugs.

So I did the R2 mod with a 250k audio taper pot and it works.... sometimes. other times it's very loud. louder than R1 but when it works I can balance the 3 ch. fine any theories? should I use a certain gauge wire or is my pot bad?

I recently bought a MKIII simul/EQ/rev.wide head and love it but it's potential seems limited thru my boogie 1x12. I'm thinking of getting an Avatar Modern style cab but not sure if greenbacks will sound okay with all 3 channels. anyone try greenies? if not what works for you in your 2x12? v30's...

yeah thanx I just checked out Bob's Eurotubes site and he has a kit with 6L6 and E34L's so their safe. COOOOOL!!!! I LOVE E34L's. I just tried 'em out in class a mode and was blown away as I never liked regular 34's in there. Can't wait to crank'em in Simul mode.

I did not misspell it I mean E34L's not EL34's. I understand that E34L's pull a bit more amps and have blown resistors in a Carvin Legacy I had but sounded awesome while it lasted. I have a pair and would love to try 'em out. Thanx -d
