Mark IV running on only 3 power amp tubes???

Make sure the tubes in the outer sockets are matched. If you want to run EL34s from a Marshall, its probably ok, just as long as you switch them both (and they aren't drawing more load than the Mesa tubes - this can be tough to check, unless you have a tube tester). The inner tubes should be...

    MkIV - Greatest amp ever?

Recipe for a very-near-Marshall tone on mkiv's R2: EL34s in the outside sockets, run the amp on Full Power, Class A, Pentode, R2 gain at 7 (pulled), R2 treble at 9, R2 master at 3, knock out most of 80 and 750 Hz with the sliders, boost 2200 and 6600 to taste. About the false values - it would be interesting to go through the circuit and see how they match up with the actual components. I didn't know they did this, but perhaps it...

    Mark IV Rev A schematics?

Last fall I picked up an early Mark IV - serial number 234, actually. I've been having trouble finding schematics for this Rev A model - does anybody have 'em or know where I could get them (in pdf)? In keeping with first-poster tradition, I'll attach a couple pictures. She's got the "rusty...
