I've found that putting a 12AT7 in the reverb position makes it sound MUCH nicer, but not louder.

Which resistor, and where in the signal path? I'm assuming it'll be right on the volume knob, but I didn't pay much attention when I last opened it up.

Experiment with mic positions. Speakers can sound very different depending on placement. Otherwise, sounds like you're in for some good tone.

I sent another PM about a week ago, no response. And yes, though the DC series aren't necessarily worth as much as my old Ace, it definitely sounds better.

Wow, that would be too many Marshalls for me. I mean, I like Plexis, but that's just overkill.

I really want to try one. Whether or not I'll get one is a different story. Chances are that I'll end up buying a used Mark IV. I think the Vs look too much like Rectifiers, with the groups of chrome knobs. EDIT: Nope, they look almost exactly like Nomad 100s.
