Still struggling with harsh frequencies I can't dial out...

I'm in the same boat as you, just on a different channel. IIc+ mode has been great for me in channel 3, but I find channel 2 to be completely uninspiring. I've tried different speaker cabinets (a 2/12 with celestion g100s?, a mesa theile 1/12 with a c90), switched from 6l6's to el 34's. Edge...

    Mesa theile 1 12 w/ the MK V?

I'm currently running a 2 12 that I'm rather happy with... but am looking to something smaller for recording purposes. Anyone out there running the MK V with the Mesa Theile 1 12 cab? If so, what are your thoughts on it. TIA.

    What speaker instead of V30?

I had a mix of v30 and G12h30 in my Avatar 2-12.. swapped them for G12t-100's. They're a good, neutral speaker, I'm happy with them. I'd like to try a 4-12 with g12h30's though...

OFFICIAL MARK V TONE SETTINGS THREAD

I assume from a lot of these settings that you guys run with the FX loop ON, so you can use the master output knob? Just curious....

    Recommend speakers for MkV

I JUST (and I mean just) put a set of t-100's in my Avatar cabinet based on the recommendations here. I can say that they're a fairly neutral speaker, very tight on the low end. I replaced a combo of g12h-30 and v-30, as I wanted to safely run some modes in 90 watt. They still need to break...
