What am I looking for in a triaxis ???

Ando this has all been in good humour. But the main reason for this triaxis gas is that when I'm playing my IV on the lead channel with the graphic eq on, I sometimes find my self wanting more shades of that colour. Less gain, more gain, a different eq setting and such. And after all this...

What am I looking for in a triaxis ???

Thank you for your replies and let's keep it peacful. You have all brought something good to the table and you are all right in your own way. I've had a few good amps since I started this journey. Jmp1, engl, stilletto, f-50, fender, mk IV, and a couple of rectifiers. It's just the mark voice...

What am I looking for in a triaxis ???

Don't get me wrong. Got nothing but respect and awe for the V. But with all these modes none footswitchable despite all it's bells and whistles it really is just a three channel amp. Not that I use more than the three on my IV but being a markaholic what if I would like to have, say 6 shades of...

What am I looking for in a triaxis ???

The mark V hmmmmmmmmmm. Yup it is a contender but I feel that I already have a IV and with a triaxis it should be more colours in the sonic pallette. But as I have a few months to make up my mind the V is definatly a contender.

What am I looking for in a triaxis ???

Thanks for the replies. Yes well it's either a triaxis or a mkIV/MkV head. But there is nothing out there for me other than the mark tone. I've been through too much trial and error and spent way too much cash on gear. I just know it in my soul that the mark tone is my tone.

What am I looking for in a triaxis ???

Hi there dudes and dudettes I love my mk4 and am looking to move that love affair up to the next level. Namely a triaxis. I'm no fan of the rectifier so what version of the triaxis am I looking for ? I'm not quite understanding the differences in them versions, phat mod, recto board, recto...

    Zakk wylde bullseye gibson ?

Has anyone played/owned one of these ? If so, how does it play and does it have a baseballbat neck, a very thick one. Thanks Geiri

    NAD: Mk. IV and questions

There Peter and welcome. I have a mk4 combo and recently retubed it with all jj's 6l6. It sounds fantastic. I haven't tried the el34 6l6 blend and really don't care for it since I love the way it sounds with 6l6. Regarding the cap job, I'm sorry but I have no idea wether there is a time limit...

I may have been proven wrong. Gibson content.

I had been trying to sell my engl screamer combo for a while when a guy offered me a trade. His Gibson LP Studio for my engl. I accepted thinking that it might be easier to sell a gibson. Then I made a huge mistake, out of curiosity I plugged that thing into my mk4 and played non stop for...

    Gibson...what the....? Buckethead sig?

I'm not talking about their average stuff. I've spent too much time playing various les pauls including a few black customs only to feel them wanting. Looks vise for me the black les paul custom is an icon but sadly I honestly don't find it that good to play. And the LTD comparison is simply...

Mark IIc+, MarkIII ,rk IV question!

If it wouldn't cost me an arm and a leg I would get myself a fully loaded 2c+ in a hardwood cabinet with a wicker cane grill and keep it in the living room of my house. I think the mk series amps are not just that tone, but in hardwood they are somewhat a piece af art to look at. And if I was...

Mark IIc+, MarkIII ,rk IV question!

Hi I´ve never played a 2c+ but I have compared the mk3 and mk4. For my ears either of these would be brilliant to have tonewise. The main thing I discovered was that the mk3 seems to dish out more bottom and is more thunderous while the mk4 is smoother and has more gain on tap plus is a lot...

    The Mark IV thread....!!

Hey dudes Just a little report on the amazing mk4. I had been lusting after one for about 15 years when I finally pulled the trigger. I've had it for a year now and this is the only amp I've had since I started playing 22 years ago that has completely cured my amp gas. I love everything about...

    Mark IV Incoming!!!

The mark IV is a strange beast. After twenty years of flipping gear, mostly amps I finally got my self a mk4 last summer. This thing has rendered me gassless amps and effects vise. Every time I play this thing it puts a smile on my face and hours go by with out me noticing. I've tried the mk5...

4x12 for MarkV - Stiletto or Rectifier?

I used to have a 4x12 recto occasionally hooked up to my mk4 combo. I thought it sounded brilliant at earsplitting volumes. Then I started to lower the volume level and really listen to the tone. As it turned out I began to hate what the v 30's did to my mk4 so I sold it. The recto cab is way to...
