i have a chance to pick up a used 5:25 express (the 1x10) for a good price. i like the amp but i'm not crazy about the 10" speaker. i have a 2x12 recto cab cab. would that work with the express? any idea how that would sound?

i'm looking at an f-30 combo. i was wondering how the dirty channel sounds. can it do old metallica type metal sounds? right now i'm playing a nomad 100. how does the f-30 dirty channel compare to the nomads?

i have the nomad 100 head and it acts the same way. sounds like your amp is operating like it was designed to. it warns about the volume jumps in the manual. if you don't have the manual i believe you can download it from somewhere. the mesa site maybe?

i'm thinking about getting some el34's for my nomad 100 head. does anyone else here have a nomad and use the el34's? what differences should i expect? i really like this amp but i wish i could get a little heavier sound out of it. will the el34's help with that at all?
