I'm going to be running an F30 into a closed back 1x12 and need to pick up a speaker. First of all, should I go with 16ohms or 8ohms, and what speakers work well with this amp? Would a Warehouse V30 clone seem like a good way to go?

Ok, so forget about metal for a second. Would you guys say that the 5:50 has enough gain to handle ANYTHING hard rock while still sounding good? Even the more extreme hard rock tones? Is the "burn" channel only an issue with metal guitarists but good for everybody else?

So in terms of maxing out potential for med to high gain tones, while still maintaining sweet cleans and blues breakup, which current 6L6 tubes work the best? Any comments on the TAD-STRs, Tung Sol reissues, SEDs, or JJs? Also, are the Mesa branded STRs the same as the TAD-STRs? Is Tad just...

So am I right in thinking that 6L6 = Fender cleans while EL84 = Vox cleans? How do the gain characteristics compare between the two variations of this amp? Is the 6L6 version the "meaner" of the two?
