New signature Hetfield Mesa Mark amp ?

That's what I though for a second. But the supposed het sig has an 5 band eq abnd the TC hasn't one. The Amps with (Mark series) and without (Recto etc.) are so different that I don't see a proto with and a final product without an EQ. If it ain't a het sig, that i think a Mark VI proto would...

New signature Hetfield Mesa Mark amp ?

Well.... JP has used Mesas for the hole time, but not the IIC+, which is his sig now. Right before that he used the Triaxis before that the Mark V, both NOT in IIC+ mode... (Mark IV on the V and Mark III in the Triaxis). Hetfield has used several brands over the years, but the Mesa IIC+ was a...

    New Tubes For MKIIc+

I was asking myself the same question, especially for the replacement of the power tubes. I was thinking of getting the TAD 6L6GC-STR (RCA-Style black-plate) which are supposed to be kind of a remake of the STR 415. Has anyone compared those 2 tubes?

    New Metallica Single and Sound

That "Marshall looking" amp is an Wizard Modern Classic. Het used it a couple of times before. Especially on Garage Inc.

    Is the honeymoon over already??!!

I get that point. I had to sell the V to buy the JP2C. But after playing the JP for a while I thought that running the C+ mode of the V at the same time as the JP would probably create the Mark sound I'm looking for. But since I was already beaming the Mesa with another amp, that would mean...

    Is the honeymoon over already??!!

I returned my JP2C last month, too. I really liked the basic sound and that it was fuller than my Mark V in C+ mode. It was fatter. But it wasn't as tight as V. After trying the Triaxis, the V and the JP I now will try the real deal. I never found a sound that's better than what I got out of...

    JP2C

Nice look for the JP-2C. I really dig the wooden front Sadly I now belong to those who sold their JP2C... It was cool, but - especially for the price here in europe - it wasn't quite what i'm looking for. Shooting for an original IIC+ now...

    SOLD

Hi mctallica1, I'm trying to get a PM to you, but it always gets stuck in the outbox. Would you try sending me an PM or an E-Mail so we can talk? I'm interested in the Amp! That would be great!

Coliseum Mark II C/C+ production number research

Hey Tak. That sounds great. I'm about to buy a Coliseum and would like to verify it's indeed an IIC+ (and not a IIC). Where exactly did you send the pics and infos to verify your amp? Do you have an E-Mail? Thanks for your help. Marc

Got my JP-2C yesterday, some questions

When I first played the JP-2C I dialed in my Mark V settings (using channel 2 and GEQ 2 of the JP-2C) and thought it was cool - but not awesome... Then I saw, that the EQ wasn't activated;) I was blown away right from the start, but had to adjust the highs and the lows - especially the 80 and...

    JP2C

Good point. Sadly I'm a) not the "soldering type" and b) living in Germany... That said, the delivery cost to Mesa and back would probably kill me ;) Here in Europe we have to pay around 3.900 Euro for the Amp, which is nearly 4.400 $...

    JP2C

Waiting for that video too ;) I have my JP-2c for a week now. It's a great amp. It's definitely the best Boogie I owned so far. I had aMark IIB, Dual Rectifier (2Ch), Triaxis / 2:90 and a Mark V. Sold the Mark V the day before my JP-2C arrived... Sadly I couldn't keep both. Though I definetly...

JP-2C and Mark V back to back video

I`m not surprised that you can dial in the JP-2C to sound like a Mark V. But the tone in the video lacks some fullness and is - even for me, who likes brightness - to bright... The reason for the great reviews is, that there are a lot of tones in the JP-2C that the Mark V cannot achieve...
