Agreed with last post.Ive owned both too and its not like it's night and day difference between the two..Put the exact same tubes( with exact measurements) in both and it really gets hard to tell them apart..but yes,there are minor differences in each, but honestly you can't go wrong with either...

I cant remember if the owners manual says to use shielded cables or not for the 4 loop switches. I would try an on/ pedal that has short to ground with the 2 90 and see if you still get a noise increase...that v2 non phat tri is awesome...you should have a ton of tones coming out of that pre...

Do you have any manual,or paperwork on yours? I own the simul satellite head version but have no manual or operating instruct..don't really need them,,but..im a stickler for owning everything inc manuals.
