Hey guys... I took the boogie clip off my myspace...I'm going to try and get a soundclick site devoted to the sounds of the MKIV....thanks for the comments on the music, though. One of these days I'll get a shredder solo up there...all the guitar parts on the myspace page were done using Vox...

Mark IV Classic Rock & Blues Clips????

Hey Jamme61 I seem to have the opposite problem...the strange artifacts start to show up once the power amp gets cooking...I try and dial it out on the low end, but then I lose all body to the tone... I will try the direct recording out; I haven't tried that yet. How do you like the yellow...

Mark IV Classic Rock & Blues Clips????

At some point I will try to get some cleaner sounds posted...however, I've been a little reluctant, do to my continued frustrations with the MKIV as a recording amp. The problem I often have is that the onset of distortion and clean sounds on a boogieMKIV often have this flubbiness to them that...

Dumb question about channel masters on MK IV?

Thanks mr fender....that helps me out. I am curious whether or not the master controls are active.... I guess that is the hardest thing about MK IV in particular; the controls are so interactive, often with many gain stages, that its difficult to methodically approach amp settings. I've had...

Dumb question about channel masters on MK IV?

This may be a dumb question, but here goes... Do the individual channel masters on the MK IV have a unity point? In other words, is there a setting at which the preamp will be feeding the power section a signal level that would be the same as if the channel had no master at all? I've always...

Speaker suggestions/opinions for mark IV or other marks

I think you should have plenty of room...although Ted Weber is very responsive with regards to measurements and suggestions. I'm away from my amp at the moment, but I remember that the magnet diameter on the weber is larger, but the speaker itself doesn't extend back any farther than the V30...

Speaker suggestions/opinions for mark IV or other marks

Heya...this will be my first post to the forum....just in time for 2007... I've had my MKIV short combo since about 1996. For the last five years I've had a V30 installed, running the amp with an attenuator (DR Z) so as not to blow the speaker. The MKIV and celestion seemed to produce a...
