I absolutely love my Fillmore 25 head. Running it through an Avatar 2x12 with a Hellatone 30/60 speaker combination and the whole thing sounds so big and full and tasty.

Are you still having problems with ice-pick highs? Where do you set your eq? This may have nothing to do with your problem, but I've found that I pretty much have everything below to well-below noon on the dials.

You might want to check and make sure all the tubes are sitting correctly. Something might have gotten jostled in delivery. My Fillmore came in the mail and I was just talking about how dead quiet it is.
