    Fillmore 25 - Drive/Hi settings

I run my F25 head through an oversized, open-backed 2x12 and it is big and beautiful, but I really need to be careful with the bass and dial it in similar to how I would my dual rectifier, meaning get the gain, treble and mids set first, lower the bass to 0 and raise it until the sound fills out...

    Boxy ?

OP, how does the 19-inch cab sound now that the speaker is broken in? I've got an avatar contemporary 2x12 through which my Fillmore 25 sounds amazing. Problem is, I don't want to always lug it around so I'm looking to get one of the 1x12 cabs for rehearsals and smaller shows. Do you wish you...

    Fillmore 25 honeymoon year

I absolutely love my Fillmore 25 head. Running it through an Avatar 2x12 with a Hellatone 30/60 speaker combination and the whole thing sounds so big and full and tasty.

    Incoming: Fillmore 100 head

Are you still having problems with ice-pick highs? Where do you set your eq? This may have nothing to do with your problem, but I've found that I pretty much have everything below to well-below noon on the dials.

Fillmore 25 pops and white noise when idle

Not sure if you're still having this problem, but I was playing yesterday and left my phone on the amp and it made an odd sound right before ringing and it reminded me of your post here. Have you tried plugging your amp into a different outlet? You could be experiencing some interference from...

Fillmore 25 pops and white noise when idle

You might want to check and make sure all the tubes are sitting correctly. Something might have gotten jostled in delivery. My Fillmore came in the mail and I was just talking about how dead quiet it is.

    No Fillmore section here?

I agree. Just got my Fillmore 25 head yesterday. It is an incredible amp.

Help getting the most out of multiwatt dual recto

I can't thank you enough. Putting a 10-band EQ in the loop really does make a huge difference. I've used two Tube Screamers stacked for years on my Fender. It never occurred to me to boost the Recto because it has plenty of gain but you were not kidding. The TS set to clean boost with the EQ...

Help getting the most out of multiwatt dual recto

So I got my dual recto a couple years back when I was playing in a loud, dirty punk/metal cowboy trio. It was the right amp for the sound. I no longer play anything like that. I'm a little older now and mostly stick with blues and classic rock and don't gig as much so having several loud amps...
