I'd like to thank Mesa for the Roadster!

I'm curious, with the EL34s, do you feel the "need" to boost your recto for really heavy type stuff? I like recto tones, but there is just something that irks me about needing a boost to get optimum tone out of an amp

    NAD - Ya Hoo !

Congrats man, welcome to heroin in the form of an amp

Mark V...wonder if it will fit my needs?

Oh no, I'm not trying to say that it covers the sound of any other amp, just the sound of any music or playing style

Mark V...wonder if it will fit my needs?

This is so true. I mean sure there a plenty of versatile amps out there that do multiple things well... but not like the Mark V. It does EVERYTHING extremely well. Hell, the mark iv could, but the V made even further imrpovements by making the second channel actually usable (well usable is...

    Mark V tips and tricks

I have been playing around recently, and got a pretty cool tone in this setting areas Scooped and boosted Rectoi-ish Tone Channel 3, 10 watts (so the 5U4 is engaged), Mark IV mode, master volume CRANKED, V shaped GEQ, bass a bit higher than you might usually run it on channel 3, rest of the EQ...

Mark V...wonder if it will fit my needs?

Not at all dude! Mark Vs aren't sensitive to impedance mismatches, and just looking at my manual, it says that the safe mismatch for the 16 omh cab would be to go into the 8 ohm output on the mark v

Mark V...wonder if it will fit my needs?

I think it should fit your needs perfectly. One of the best clean channels I have ever heard on an amp, and the high gain is awesome, especially when playing leads. My advice is to run EL34s in the MV if you get it (this is quite simple to do due to the switchable fixed bias switch on the back...

    Mark V tips and tricks

Thanks for the fuzz tip. Fuzz pedal gas averted! Time to bring on the doom and stoner stuff on

New member to the MK V club!

Welcome to the club man. There is a solution to all of your channel 2 troubles, throw some EL34s in there. Completely transforms channel 2 into a monster marshally type sound, and makes the gain on channel three less harsh as well

    Warranty confirmation?

If you're concerned, just message them at [email protected] I got confirmation for my warranty, but that may just be because I got mine used and did a warranty transfer

    Question about the slave out

Hey, I wasn't quite clear from the manual on this, but I am curious, can you run a cable out from the slave out into a mixer to go to the FOH? Thanks

    Mark V head dimensions?

I don't know the exact dimensions, but the roadster is quite a bit larger than the mark V, especially in length

    Noise gating troubles

Hey all, I have an ISP Noise decimator pedal, and have been having some difficulties optimizing silent running at stage levels. Compared to my ENGL, the mark V is amazing silent without any noise gating, but there is still some very noticeable noise when I am not playing. Running the decimator...

Recto Player Buys A Mark V

Hearing some of the wait times makes me glad I ended up trading my old amp for a used mark v rather than getting one new

Question about getting an amp customized by Mesa Boogie

Oof at that price I might just do a re-tolex myself

Question about getting an amp customized by Mesa Boogie

Thanks, awesome. Anyone have any estimate of around how much? I'd guess around $200?

Question about getting an amp customized by Mesa Boogie

Hey all, I know you can special order custom tolex options and such when you are first getting the amp, but does Mesa Boogie accept one of their amps being sent to them to have the mod the aesthetics post purchase? I am interested in possibly having such a thing done to my mark V, and I was...

Mark V Head... Hard/Uncomfortable to carry???

-shrug- its the easiest head that I have owned to carry besides my little 20 watt jet city (past amps: ENGL Steve Morse and Peavy 5150II)
  19. S

    Say guys, quick question...

From my understanding, since the amp is a fixed bias switchable between 6l6 and el34, that isn't something that one would have to worry about
