Yes I agree, the distributor I contacted has thousands of tubes on stock. It was CE Distributor.

knotts - I agree, we are all obsessed. On a separate note. I have noticed that the 6L6 prices have gone up a bit, around $10 - $15. The distributor I contacted listed the amount that they had in stock and they had about 5x the EL34's opposed to the 6L6's. Maybe the slight draught is driving...

I contacted the distributor who works with Tube Depot and they say SED has not closed and is not planning to. They are just out sourcing raw materials.

Funny you should say this. I contacted the Tube Depot yesterday and they said they have not heard about them ceasing production. I also asked them if their current stock contains any factory seconds and they said, no. I then forwarded them this link to comment on...

+1 I've played the MarkV and like it, but this for sure is my only complaint. +1, as well.

Fixed biased Boogies will take any middle rated tube. The '5' on your Groove Tube is middle rated. Actually I believe Boogies will take GT rated between 4 - 6. So if you like the sound the GTs give you get another with that rating. You can also buy tubes from a reputable tube dealer like...

I've used the RI Mullards for the PI and gain slots in the Mark IV with success. No problems there.

I used a deoxit fader lube for the volume pots on my older guitars, works great. I only use though when they need it.
