I really like the 68 Princeton reissue. Low wattage, but at around 7 (anything north of 4) you get some really good power tube gain.

I don't use a lot of pedals, but about half I use in front of the amp & half in the FX loop. Is there a good way to have those on the same board even though one cable is going into the amp's input jack in front and one in the back of the amp in the FX loop? Sorry if this is a ridiculous...

What you mean by, "I’m having trouble taking my brightness a bit "? You want the amp to be a bit brighter? If you mean that, I would try a Tung-Sol (RI) pre-amp tube in your V1 slot.

So I just noticed that the Mesa Boogie shop is selling SED =C= on their web site (EL34 only) for $99 a pair. Wondering if these are the factory seconds, they haven't been produced in years. I still have a couple of quads left, but I'd love me some more. Comments?

You can always call Mesa directly. They are very helpful, if you really feel that you need it.

Anyone tried 6V6's in their Mark IV? I know that they can only be run in tweed mode, but can you just put in 2 for class A, or do you need to put 4 and just run simul-class? In the manual they say nothing about just running them in class A. I want to try to get the old Fender Princeton/deluxe...
