    Mark IV A effects loop

OK - so the master volume. That's what I think of it as. Thanks

    Harley Benton

My son is looking at a Harley Benton 2X12 cab, b/c of the Celestions but mostly b/c of the price. I've read good things about them but also several bad reviews on their build quality. I guess you get what you pay for. Also since one of their bigger dealers is in Germany, dealing with issues...

    Mark IV A effects loop

So , it appears that I'm getting some minor tone suck in the effects loop possibly from one of my effects. I've recently built a pedal board. I'm not a big effects guy, but over the years accumulated some effects and really never used them b/c I was too lazy to get them out and hooking them...

    New Fender Amps..

I really like the 68 Princeton reissue. Low wattage, but at around 7 (anything north of 4) you get some really good power tube gain.

    Life After a Mark IVb

What went so wrong that it cannot be fixed? Kind of shocked. The V sounds very close to the IV. You'll get more use out of channel 2. The lead channel on the V does not have a drive knob so it's like the drive knob on the IV permanently stuck on 7-8 pulled. If I didn't have my IV, I'd get...

    Mrs. Smith

Has anyone watched Mrs. Smith (Steve Via in drag) on You Tube? It's pretty cool to see people's reactions to it - not knowing it's him. I just don't know why he's doing it. I have no issue with it, just wondering. If it was just a one off, I'd say it was just a goof. However, he's very well...

    Mark IV Power Issues?

+1 I had a similar problem years ago.

    pedal board question

I don't use a lot of pedals, but about half I use in front of the amp & half in the FX loop. Is there a good way to have those on the same board even though one cable is going into the amp's input jack in front and one in the back of the amp in the FX loop? Sorry if this is a ridiculous...

Power tube question, and live settings

What you mean by, "I’m having trouble taking my brightness a bit "? You want the amp to be a bit brighter? If you mean that, I would try a Tung-Sol (RI) pre-amp tube in your V1 slot.

SED Winged C's =C= on Mesa Boogie web site

So I just noticed that the Mesa Boogie shop is selling SED =C= on their web site (EL34 only) for $99 a pair. Wondering if these are the factory seconds, they haven't been produced in years. I still have a couple of quads left, but I'd love me some more. Comments?

    6V6 in Mark IV

Much appreciated! I am currently running all 6L6s, although I generally run 6L6/EL34 combos most of time. That's my favorite set up, thus far. Thanks again.

Thanks, just wondering if you've tried it & what your experience was with them.

    Mark IV with 6v6

Did you notice a volume drop with the 6V6's? Are you using 4 in simul-class or just 2 with class A? How is the gain in all 3 channels? Sorry for all the questions, just wondering? Thanks

You can always call Mesa directly. They are very helpful, if you really feel that you need it.

    6V6 in Mark IV

Anyone tried 6V6's in their Mark IV? I know that they can only be run in tweed mode, but can you just put in 2 for class A, or do you need to put 4 and just run simul-class? In the manual they say nothing about just running them in class A. I want to try to get the old Fender Princeton/deluxe...
