DC-5 EQ before or after the gain?

The funny thing is that if the eq on the lead channel is after the gain stage then the DC has 2 post eqs. One the regular and one the graphic with 5 slides....

DC-5 EQ before or after the gain?

Maybe we have in mind the modern side of a recto, the super saturated scooped gain and obvious DC-5 it's not in this side. But rectos has also a vintage/orange channel and DC-5 probably has a part of it.

DC-5 EQ before or after the gain?

hmmm...if this is really true it's led me to think that maybe the lead channel it's really on the recto side (as DC line has been advertised), since mark series has the eq stage before the gain and the recto after, right? But a lot of users here claims that it's more on the mk side. I tested...

Allan Holdsworth and the Dual Rec

This is funny, really...i had EXACTLY the same settings on my Roadster! To me, this was the sweet spot for my leads...lol...also with paf pups.... I never played a pre-500 recto but i would give everything to crank up one... i only once saw one on ebay but it way too much overpriced...

Allan Holdsworth and the Dual Rec

I don't know what kind of music you like and play mate but try it to your Dual Recto (vintage ch), as i see that you have. The 0 bass is to avoid the muddy and i have to mention that Allan also cuts part of bass before the preamp stage with his TC line driver in front of his amp. The TC also act...

Allan Holdsworth and the Dual Rec

ok here it is... GAIN - 2 o'clock TREBLE - 2 o'clock MIDDLE - 2 o'clock BASS - all the way off PRESENCE - 10 o 'clock MASTER VOLUME - wherever it sounds good depending on the venue Probably you're right...as i said i'm not familiar with the recto history...so, this must be a rented amp...

Allan Holdsworth and the Dual Rec

No, i'm not sure. Maybe this is a rented amp for a gig that Allan couldn't bring his amp. But i know for sure that Holdsworth uses extensively the recto in early 90's, as i used to be active member on his forum (before it's turned down). I am a big fan of him and i study in depth his gear...

Allan Holdsworth and the Dual Rec

Allan used to use rectos back in the early '90s until he switched to Yamaha DGs in mid to late '90s. He was using exclusively the vintage (orange) channel of the recto, boosted in front with the TC Electronic Line booster and the TC1140 parametric eq in the loop of the recto (before the power...

    Roadster - Roadking clean ch.

When Mesa started to produced RK 1, did the Roadster came out at the same time (as the "little brother")? because if yes, then the first Roadster products (RK 1 series) has not the Lonestar clean...Roadster has to had the Lonestar clean after the release of RK II... Maybe i am also just...

    Roadster's footswitch

Probably you're right. It is the different reverb levels from one channel to another. it is clear explained in the manual. Mesa for some reason designed it like that, or maybe it's the natural way that a reverb which is common to all channels react like that. I don't excpect nothing short to...

    Roadster's footswitch

    Roadster - Roadking clean ch.

So, the roadster has the clean ch from Roadking(lonestar) and Roadking didnt have always the lonestar clean. This means that roadster has the clean of lonestar from a certain period and later...right? Can we know from which period and later is this excist? I mean is there a serial number or...
